New Web Site – New Playoff Run!!!

December 30th, 2008 | Jeff

Congratulations on the Steelers AFC North Division Championship! A sweep of the division is a wonderful thing! Let’s hope Ben is OK going in to the playoffs. Last report is that he should be alright. The buy week is really needed to give the guys a little time to rest and heal.  Too bad they can’t play the Brownies every week. That was about as close to a week off as you can get.

The buy week also gives enough time to transition to the new fan club web site. Hopefully, it is formatted well and gives Atlanta Steelers fans the information on the club, etc. If you have any problems with the site, or have any suggestions for content or changes please let us know. GO STEELERS!!!!!

A Great Start to the 2008 Season

September 13th, 2008 | Jeff

The Steelers wrecking ball demolished the Texans in the opening game 38-17. This was a thrashing from start to finish. Every facet of the game was working for the Steelers. Even the special teams and offensive line played well. I would like to think this was because the Steelers are THAT good, but some it may have been due to the ability, or lack thereof, of the Texans. We should get a better indication when the Steelers play the Brownies at the Mistake on the Lake this Sunday night. Go Steelers!!!!!

Steelers 2007 Season a Success?

January 12th, 2008 | Jeff

The Steelers 2007 season was full of ups and downs. From the great, fast start with wins over Cleveland, Buffalo, and San Francisco, and the Monday Night shellacking of Baltimore, to the inexcusable losses to Arizona, Denver, and the Jets, the Steelers couldn’t gain any consistency or momentum. Steelers Lose to Jags after Strong Comeback

January 6th, 2008 | Jeff

The Steelers were knocked out of the playoffs by a loss to the Jags 31-29 in spite of a furious 4th quarter comeback that fell a field goal short. The Steelers were down 28-10 but scored 19 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to take the lead. Unfortunately, they gave up a field goal with under a minute to go to lose the game.

STEELERS INVADE ATLANTA!!!

October 22nd, 2006 | Jeff

The Steelers played the Falcons at the Georgia Dome on October 22nd. Unfortunately for us, the offense was pretty generous with the football and turned it over 4 times. The Falcons were able to turn those mistakes into points and a 41-38 win over our Steelers. It was an exciting game that went into a “single possession” overtime (the league needs to change that rule!). The Falcons won the toss, put together enough yards to kick a field goal and that was that. Read More »
