Now THAT was Steelers football! A great running game, good pass protection and good passing. Package that with the NFL’s best, bone-crunching defense and what do you get? Total Domination! This one was a laugher. Ben’s arm looked about as healthy as it has been this year. His decision making was good too even after the concussion two weeks ago. And what can you say about Willie Parker? He looked better in this game than he has all year. He finally has the burst back and the ability to make a cut. Amazing how a good running game sets up the pass and takes the heat off the pass rush, huh?
Have you ever seen a more dominating 3rd quarter? The Chargers had the ball for 1 play and had 0 (yes – I said ZERO) yards. The Steelers had the ball the rest of the quarter! Also, the Chargers running game, if you want to call it that, had a total of 15 yards in 12 carries. Willie Parker finished the day with 146 yards and two touchdowns. Again, this was Steelers football.
The Steelers are in peak form right now. It doesn’t make any difference who they play at this point – there is nobody hotter right now. Bring on the Ravens! Nothing would bring a greater sense of satisfaction than to have the Steelers be the ones to send them back to Baltimore while we make plans for the big game! GO STEELERS!!!!!

The Steelers opponent in the Divisional Playoff Game is the San Diego Chargers. The game will be played in Pittsburgh on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Heinz Field. The game starts at 4:45. Lets hope for cold, miserable Pittsburgh weather to welcome our freinds from warm sunny San Diego! No matter, the Steelers are well rested, have beat the Chargers this season and will do it again. Meanwhile, the Rat Birds beat the underachieving Colts to move on to play the Titans in Nashville.
This should be fun, as the playoffs usually are. See you on Sunday at Barnacles. GO STEELERS!!!!!

Congratulations on the Steelers AFC North Division Championship! A sweep of the division is a wonderful thing! Let’s hope Ben is OK going in to the playoffs. Last report is that he should be alright. The buy week is really needed to give the guys a little time to rest and heal. Too bad they can’t play the Brownies every week. That was about as close to a week off as you can get.
The buy week also gives enough time to transition to the new fan club web site. Hopefully, it is formatted well and gives Atlanta Steelers fans the information on the club, etc. If you have any problems with the site, or have any suggestions for content or changes please let us know.
GO STEELERS!!!!!

The Steelers wrecking ball demolished the Texans in the opening game 38-17. This was a thrashing from start to finish. Every facet of the game was working for the Steelers. Even the special teams and offensive line played well. I would like to think this was because the Steelers are THAT good, but some it may have been due to the ability, or lack thereof, of the Texans. We should get a better indication when the Steelers play the Brownies at the Mistake on the Lake this Sunday night. Go Steelers!!!!!
