Once upon a January, bold invaders, skilled and scary,
made a stop, perchance to tarry, on our Allegheny shore.
Purple people, crass and craven.
Could it be the raunchy
Raven chooses here to make a haven
for a brood we all deplore?

Game begins. The plot gets thicker. Kick is good!
Our bleached blonde kicker makes them feel a
trifle sicker than they might have felt before.
Roethlisberger running! Gunning!

And, Raven shunning, down the field!
A moment stunning, as he dives in for the score!
Quoth the Steelers “Let’s get more.”
Yet, we knew ‘twould not be easy.
Interference? (Oh, that’s cheesy.)
Now they’ve made our stomachs queasy,
quieting the Steeler’s roar.
Second half. Two sluggers fighting.
‘Tis a time for nail biting.
Must it always be exciting when we face these fiends of yore?
It shall be, forevermore.
We lead by two, and time is fleeting. Ravens’ ball.
Their fans entreating.
Could it be we face a beating from this team that we abhor?
But we have no time to wallow.

Steelers’ defense slams the door.
For the Birds the bell was tolling,
as the Black and Gold was rolling.
Soon we’ll all be Super Bowling.
We’ve been there six times before.
The Ravens met three times this season,
and three times, beyond all reason,
with results we found quite pleasin’.

I dont know if any of you have come across this video on youtube, but its pretty funny. Apparently a couple of kids from pittsburgh did a spoof on the coors light commercials with Mike Tomlin and Iron City instead. They have a few up but i was sent this one in the email. I grew up in Pittsburgh..now living in MD…over the past few years have gotten quite a large crowd to watch the games at one of our favorite bars. Anybody have any idea how to get a bar to become an official steelers bar?
